Repurposed furniture, finds, paintings and photography created to INspire
Robyn Miller is a Cleveland based crafter. In 2015 I began seeking other ways to release the 1 billion ideas floating in my mind and need to use my hands to create. I’d met an older woman in the community I worked in who was looking to donate 4 or 5 pieces of French Provencial bedroom furniture that she bought for her daughters over 20 years ago. She held on to the furniture for so long because it was “still some good”. She trusted that I would creatively give the furniture a new look and find the pieces a good home.
Over time this manifested itself as “2nd Story Collection”. A Passion Project INspired by stories of transformation and creativity. I began to see the beauty in discarded items, hoping to give them a second story and new purpose of their own.
In 2016 I transitioned to San Francisco, CA then moved back to Cleveland, Ohio which is a 2nd Story of it’s own, as I seek to not only survive but thrive. Using all the experiences and love that I gained to make my own 2nd story even better than the first!
