Artist Statement

Pieces of furniture are often a significant part of a larger story. Acquired from beloved family members, purchased for a new home or passed from one-to-another. Serving a different purpose in each home.

Pieces of furniture are often discarded and so are the stories that come along with them.

Through 2nd Story Collection, I seek to echo the idea that “Repairing is Caring". A reminder that there is still hope for the no longer desired people, places and even furniture of this world. 

I believe beauty, value and purpose can be conceived through vision, patience, and a change in perspective.
